are there any bypass lines or auxilliary devices upstream of the valve that may be reducing the pressure on the high pressure line side of the valve after closure?

 
    Please check that all bypass lines are closed and that the only possible flow path is through the main valve in question when it is closed as auxiliary devices or by-pass lines can give the false impression of leakage.  
     
  no (I am sure that the fluid has no other flow path)
