It is absolutely critical to determine where the valve is leaking
because some repairs can be made in the field and others can not.
Keep your mind open and explore all possibilities. A cast valve, in
some unlikely cases, may have a porosity crack which appears initially
to be a gasket or seat leak. Correct identification of the problem
will speed up service. |
